Project Ascent Team Building Ropes Courses and Outdoor Experiential Training Programs
Frequently Asked Questions
What size groups do you work with?
Almost all sizes! Project Ascent has worked with groups as large as 400 people at a time. We can safely accommodate 75 on the course at a time and usually divide the day up depending on activities chosen. For our Ropes Course we usually have one facilitator work with 15 participants at a time.
Do you work with individuals?
Private guiding is always available. If you are interested in honing your wilderness skills or want to learn more about the intricacies of rock climbing, we can arrange 1-4 days of private guiding.
What about safety?
All Project Ascent, LLC staff are trained in basic first aid and life support. A Wilderness First Responder or EMT accompanies all programs. Project Ascent will work closely with participants' own staff in order to maximize safety. All Ropes Challenge Course Instructors are trained and certified using current Association of Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) Standards or equivalent. Our rock climbing programs are run using certified Rock Climbing Instructors that hold current American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA) Top Rope Site Manager Certification or equivalent. Our Caving guides are trained through the National Cave Rescue Commission (NCRC) to use all guidelines as well as the National Speological Societies regulations.
Before participating in any ropes course program – make sure it was constructed using ACCT standards.
Safety is always our top priority.
Will I have to do something I'm uncomfortable with?
We adhere to a “challenge by choice” philosophy and will respect our clients wishes at all times. Challenge by choice is a concept created by Karl Rohnke (1984). Essentially, the client at all times controls and determines the level of risk, challenge and competence in which they will engage.
