High and Low Ropes Courses
Build Self-Esteem and Team Process Skills
A Ropes Course is an outdoor team building activity. Our ropes courses consist of high and low elements. The low elements are named that because they usually take place on the ground or only a few feet above the ground. A high ropes course is much higher than a low course, and is constructed using trees or utility poles. All of Project Ascent's courses are constructed using the strict ACCT requirements. Project Ascent uses both high and low ropes courses merely as a prop in order to bring about positive change.
Skilled Facilitators, Healthy Risks
Our facilitators are skilled in helping groups learn how to take care of themselves as well as the group. Individuals are encouraged to take healthy risks; pushing both their physical as well as psychological capabilities.
Team Building, Problem Solving
Each activity is framed out and presented to the group in a puzzle-like fashion. The group must choose roles and assign responsibilities in order to solve the “puzzle.” Each challenge or initiative is followed with a “debrief.” During the “debrief” the group discusses what worked, what did not work and how they can improve.
